A campaign devised by Teesside school pupils to raise awareness of an animal charity has won a national award.
Porcelain Rings Pupils at St Michael's School, Billingham, won the final of the Young Direct Marketing Awards with their campaign for the PDSA.
They beat 200 other schools, many private and independent, to see their entry turned into a marketing campaign.
Ideas by year 7 pupils Ruth Bertram and Helen Jones Silver 925 Necklace included advertising in supermarket magazines and on items such as poop scoops.
Teacher Anne Jones said: "I think it is absolutely fantastic. Watching them grow in confidence and watching them start to think about their future careers at such a young age is brilliant."
The school recognised the winners at a ceremony at the Billingham Arms.
