If nothing else, the Jazz's free and open-to-the-public scrimmage Tuesday night provided a couple valuable lessons - and a few good laughs.
One tutorial is that there are no automatic timeouts in the NBA just because a guy's shoe is untied.
"I didn't know that," joked rookie point Eric Maynor, whose White team was charged with one after its offense got bogged down because he was trying to get the ball to guard Ronnie Brewer - and Brewer was busy trying to get a bunny around the tree.
Even starting point Deron Williams had to chuckle and give the rookie some grief.
"I don't know what he was doing with that," Williams said afterward.

"I knew he (Sloan) probably wouldn't be happy if I dunked off that thing," Williams said. "I want to try it, though. But I think you can get hurt, so I don't know if I'm gonna try it.
"Maybe in the summertime."
Williams' Blue team, meanwhile, broke open a 32-32 halftime tie to win the informal scrimmage 70-46.
Williams led the Blue with 14 points that included 5-of-5 free- throw shooting, while center Mehmet Okur scored 12 while making 6- of-6 from the line, free agent Ronald Dupree added 11 and guard Ronnie Price 10.
Kyle Korver had nine points and Brewer eight for the White.
Highlights included follow dunks by both Price and Paul Millsap, Millsap's dunk over Kyrylo Fesenko and free agent Wesley Matthews taking a charge from Andrei Kirilenko -- not to mention Matthews being sure to heed Sloan's command to tuck in his shirt.
YO, ADRIAN: The Jazz used the crowd on hand at EnergySolutions Arena as a backdrop while filming three TV commercials prior to Tuesday's scrimmage, including one that had Kirilenko handing off a "Buy Tickets" sign to Sloan after getting called into an imaginary game.
Cheap LoafersThe experience prompted actor-wannabe Kirilenko to both drop a Universal Warrior reference and break into an Ivan Drago imitation from Rocky IV, telling a TV camera, "I must break you."
Another commercial filmed Tuesday featured Williams with a temporary "BuyTix" tattoo splashed across his forehead.

"My golfing is done for the year," said Korver, who along with teammate BoydSummerhays finished tied for ninth among 14 twosomes at seven under par, five strokes behind winners JasonZuback and BobbyWilson.
Korver has bragging rights on Williams, who along with SteeleDeWald wound up tied for 13th at six under.

Attendance at Tuesday's scrimmage was estimated by Jazz officials to be between 6,000 and 7,000. ... Swingman C.J.
