Don't let city undermine other fitness centers here

I don't believe it was necessary for Todd Feezer to travel to Broomfield, Colo., to see the Silver Sneakers program in action.
A visit to the YMCA any Monday or Wednesday between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. he would see a number of adults already enjoying the program. It is offered to any Y member and to those in the community with Humana insurance. The program has been offered for over a year.
With all the fitness centers already in Cheyenne, why does the city want to undermine them after they chose Cheyenne to build their great facilities?
I believe an all events center such as Casper has would be more appropriate.
Flood control should have

Recreation center should not be a priority.
With all the current flood map revisions and drainage projects required to protect life and property, the recreation center should not be a priority for the residents of Cheyenne nor should it be the priority of the governing body.
As example, the area of the Frisbee Golf Course near the Greenway on the east side of Cheyenne has long been neglected by the Laramie County and city of Cheyenne governing body. After the flood of 1985, the improvements to the drainage were never submitted to the FEMA organization for flood map revisions. After the drainage work was completed, the choice was made to not submit the information due to not having the estimated $5,000 for the paperwork. Property was purchased for the drainage work from some who did not sell by choice but were forced to sell for the betterment of the community.
Now after 23 years, the city of Cheyenne is conducting improvements upstream of Ridge Road for the betterment of city owned property.
Instead of spending the sixth penny tax on a recreation center a limited few will be able to utilize, let's take care of the important issues like Cheyenne family homes and property. A large number of people are paying flood insurance and property values are suffering due to the lack of focus on the correct issues.
Recreation center will make huge
improvements to our community

The whole reasoning and point behind the sixth penny sales is for improvement. Every county, city, town, etc. needs improvements and it is not going to happen if no one helps out.
I believe the number one reason people are against the sixth penny tax is because of the high dollar amount. To do anything now a days cost a lot and not doing it now will just cost more later on. So why not spend the money for the good of the county.
knockoff High Quality Replica WatchesWhy do we not need improvements in our parks or greenway? Why do we not need a recreation center? Why do people want our town to become run down and dirty? We need improvements and we need a recreation center that will give our children a place to go.
I want my child to have a safe place
